Terms and Conditions

Working draft for review and final approval by the National Association of Kaduna State Students (NAKASS) leadership.

Circle Charter & Terms of Service: This document is a draft prepared for review and final approval by the NAKASS leadership. Its wording may change before the Loyalist Circle opens.

Version: Draft v0.1 — October 2026

1.Purpose of the Loyalist Circle

The NAKASS Loyalist Circle (“the Circle”) is a membership initiative of the National Association of Kaduna State Students (“NAKASS”). It brings together committed students who wish to serve the association, support its initiatives and contribute their skills to the welfare and representation of Kaduna State students.

Membership is a commitment to service. It is not an elected office, a paid position or an employment relationship.

2.Service, unity, discipline and conduct

Members are expected to uphold the Circle's motto — Loyalty, Service and Unity — in their conduct within and outside official activities.

  • Act with honesty, discipline and respect in all Circle activities.
  • Promote unity among students regardless of background, institution or affiliation.
  • Avoid conduct that brings the Circle or NAKASS into disrepute.
  • Resolve disagreements respectfully and through appropriate channels.

3.Accurate information and honest representation

Applicants must provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge. Skills, experience and work samples must be represented honestly.

Submitting work created by another person as your own, or misrepresenting your role in a project, may lead to an application being declined or a membership being reviewed.

4.Responsible use of official information and channels

Members may be given access to official materials, communication groups, documents or platforms. These must be used only for their intended purpose and in line with any instructions issued by authorised NAKASS coordinators.

  • Do not publish official statements without authorisation.
  • Do not share access credentials or invite unauthorised persons to official channels.
  • Follow agreed approval processes for public-facing communication.

5.Confidentiality

Some information shared within the Circle may be internal or sensitive, including plans, deliberations and personal information about other members. Members must handle such information with care and must not disclose it outside the Circle without appropriate authorisation.

6.Respect for members and leadership

Members are expected to treat fellow members, NAKASS leadership and the wider student community with courtesy and respect. Harassment, intimidation, discrimination or abusive language will not be tolerated.

7.Use of the NAKASS name, branding and platforms

The NAKASS name, logo, visual identity and official platforms may be used only for authorised purposes. Members must not create accounts, materials or statements that appear to represent NAKASS or the Circle without approval.

8.Participation and accountability

Members are expected to participate in assigned activities to the extent of the availability they have indicated, meet agreed deadlines where reasonably possible and communicate early if they are unable to fulfil a commitment.

Coordinators may review participation periodically to ensure that responsibilities are shared fairly and that the Circle remains effective.

9.Application review and selection

Applications are reviewed by the appropriate NAKASS team. Selection takes into account the needs of the Circle, the information provided and the evidence submitted.

Submitting an application does not guarantee admission to the Circle. Decisions may be communicated through the contact channel specified by the programme.

10.Personal information and supporting evidence

Personal information and supporting evidence provided in an application will be used to assess the application, to contact the applicant and, where membership is granted, to administer the Circle.

Information will be accessible only to persons authorised by NAKASS for these purposes. The final policy on how long information is retained and how applicants may request access or correction will be confirmed by the NAKASS leadership before launch.

11.Withdrawal and review of membership

Members may withdraw from the Circle at any time by informing their coordinator.

Where there are concerns about a member's conduct or adherence to these terms, membership may be reviewed in line with the Circle's final policies. Members will be given a fair opportunity to respond during any such review.

12.Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated by the NAKASS leadership. Members will be informed of material changes through official channels.
